3rd Midlands Telemark Skiing Festival

There are just over 4 weeks until the 3rd Midlands Telemark Skiing Festival at the Snowdome, Tamworth, Staffordshire on the 4th July 2009 from 11.00 - 18.00hrs. The event is GREAT value for money costing ONLY £67.00 for 4 hours of formal instruction and 6 hours slope time! The day plans to be great fun - with opportunities to receive 2 hours of instruction / coaching in the morning and afternoon from members of the Snowsport England (SSE) Telemark Skiing Coaching Team (beginners, intermediate, advanced sessions) as well as meet and ski with telemark skiers from across the country.

The rest of the day will give you the opportunity to socialise and enjoy the great facilities at the Snowdome as well as develop your personal skiing skills using a lurk, uphill skatining and if the slope isn't too busy why not try out the jumps, boxes or rails.

There will also be chances to buy new and secondhand telemark skiing equipment from other skiers (maybe this is the year to upgrade your equipment) as well as meet members of the GB Telemark Skiing team who are already busy preparing for the coming racing season.

If you need to hire telemark skis or boots please get in touch with me directly ASAP as stocks of equipment are limited - equipment hire is £15.00 for the day.

Tickets for the Midlands Telemark Festival should be booked and paid for in advance by phoning the Snowdome on 08448000011. In order to avoid dissappointment please book your tickets ASAP to ensure that sufficient instructors can be provided on the day for all of those attending the event.
