Discipline:

Park & Pipe Snowboard

Clubs:

-

Sponsors:

I am on The Snow Centre's sponsored freestyle team and through the use of monthly targets to aim towards and consistent coaching, I am constantly pushing myself and improving.

Equipment Used:

Boots: ThirtyTwo. They are really comfortable and offer a lot of support and stability. Ski's / Snowboard: I rode a CAPiTA board for about a year and a half but I snapped it on a freestyle night at The Snow Centre two days before a competition so now I ride a Rome Factory Rocker and I have adapted to it really well and quite quickly.

Local Slope:

The Snow Centre

Season Goals:

In the upcoming season, I am looking forward to progressing even more and taking my inverted tricks and bigger spins such as 9's and 10's to my local snow dome and mountains around Europe. I am also looking to place quite highly in various different competitions around the UK this season.

Long-term Goals:

With snowboarding, I aim to be able to travel all around Europe and some other places so I can train on the different parks and keep improving on bigger and more advanced features. I also want to keep riding with my friends as it brings a laid-back element to it and it keeps me motivated to do well. While I am still studying for my GCSE's, my long term goals are quite limited but in the next few years I would like to compete in some more challenging competitions outside of the UK such as The Brits in Laax and the Valley Ralley in Austria for example.

What does it mean to be selected?:

To be welcomed onto the Snowsport England team is amazing and it has given me a lot more motivation and determination to keep trying and progressing as much as I can while still enjoying the sport.

Who is your snowsports Role Model?:

My idol for snowboarding is probably Marcus Kleveland as he is one of the best riders in the world and he is only 18. Some of the tricks he can do on flat are insane and i don't even know how they are possible most of the time.

Where is your favourite place to ski or snowboard?:

UK: The Snow Centre as it is almost like a second home to me and everyone there is welcoming and friendly. It is also the place I am most used to and i can do the majority of my tricks there which helps to maintain my level of ability and improve aswell. Non-UK: My favourite place to snowboard in terms of progression is Hintertux in Austria as it is where i landed my first 9 on a kicker and also my first 270 onto a rail. However my favourite place to snowboard in general is Kaunertal also in Austria as it has a lot of fast, flowing pistes and other runs that have more side-hits and wind-lips to use which is always fun and quite good to learn on.

What are your #PyeongchangPredictions for the 2018 Winter Olympics?:

I am hoping Billy Morgan can throw down his Quad Cork 1800 and get Gold. There is also a chance for Jamie Nicholls to get on the podium and for the womens, Katie Ormerod and Aimee Fuller have a good chance of getting some medals aswell.

Anything else?:

At the 2017 English Slopestyle Championships, I made it through to the finals but unfortunately fell on both my final runs and so I got 11th overall male.
