This weekend marks the opening of World Cup competitions for both the British Nordic Team in Ruka, Finland and the British Telemark Team in Hintertux, Austria. The GB Park and Pipe snowboarders are in World Cup action at the Big Air Olympic test event in Alpensia, Korea whilst Alex Tilley is in Alpine World Cup action in Killington, USA.

GB Park and Pipe snowboarder Katie Ormerod claimed second place in this weekend’s Pleasure Jam, after the contest was changed from a slopestyle event to a rail-jam due to high winds in the Superpark Dachstein.
2017 marks 10th anniversary in the Italian resort

Entries are now open for the 2017 English Alpine Championships, as over 400 of the country’s best English Alpine skiers are set to descend on Bormio, Italy from 11-17th February 2017.
Snowsport England would like to announce that following an open recruitment process for new Directors the board has co-opted two new Directors to the Snowsport England board.
They were co-opted at the board meeting on the 16th November and will go forward to the AGM where their appointments will need to be ratified by the membership.
This weekend GB Park and Pipe snowboarders and skiers head over to Dachstein in Austria for the Pleasure Jam, a Slopestyle World Snowboard Tour season opener, running on Saturday 19th November.

Fresh from their return from the Milan Big Air World Cup, Billy Morgan, Katie Ormerod and Rowan Coultas will be joined by fellow GB Park and Pipe snowboarders, Matt McCormick and Henry Shackleton.
Delancey British Alpine Team skier Dave Ryding had the race of his life yesterday to finish a career-best 6th place in the World Cup Slalom in Levi, Finland.
