This weekend saw GB Park and Pipe battle against the elements at the season opening Slopestyle World Cups.

America calls for Whitby skier

Freestyle skier Thea Fenwick (15), has received news that she’s been selected for a highly sought after skiing scholarship at one of America’s top training facilities.

Thea who currently trains in Leeds and Austria, received news of this exciting opportunity via the social media platform Instagram, and she’s using crowd funding to help fund it.

 

One month to go until the English Alpine Championships 2017

In under a month, over 400 of England’s best young skiers will descend on the Italian resort of Bormio for the 21st English Alpine Championships, running from 11-17th February 2017.

Musgrave shines at Tour de Ski, Ryding in World Cup action tomorrow in Croatia and World Cup Big Air in Moscow this weekend

Andrew Musgrave has had a great start to the Tour de Ski sealing another top 10 finish today in the 15km Freestyle in Obertsdorf.

Sharks Ski Club is a family ski club based at Snozone, Castleford. They’ve been introducing and developing people of all ages to the excitement that is skiing (from recreational to race and freestyle) for over 25 years!

Katie Ormerod secured a 5th place finish in the Copper Mountain Snowboard Big Air World Cup, despite having to pull out of the final due to a minor injury.

British Ski and Snowboard Cross

After finishing 20th in qualification in Val Thorens and 24th in Arosa, British Ski Cross racer Emily Sarsfield will be looking to make her mark in the next and penultimate leg of the Cross Alps Tour taking place in Montafon,Austria.

Qualification begins tomorrow with finals on Saturday. Emily will then move onto the Innichen World Cup in Italy with qualifiers beginning next Tuesday.
