Nordic World Ski Championships continue with 12th place for Musgrave

Schools in England have just a few weeks left to sign up to free or heavily discounted activities at over 20 slopes across the country as part of the second National Schools Snowsport Week sponsored by Visit Andorra (www.nssw.co.uk).
Andrew Musgrave had the result of the weekend for British Nordic at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland, finishing 11th in the Men’s Skiathlon on Saturday.
In the Sprint Freestyle final two days earlier, Andrew Young had put in a solid 22nd place finish. In the same race Callum Smith finished 73rd and James Clugnet was 75th position.
This week marks the start of the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland with Andrew Young, Andrew Musgrave, Callum Smith, James Clugnet, Annika Taylor and Fern Cates in action for British Nordic.
Ski Rossendale set to help more young people get into snowsports
Thanks to lottery funding through Sport England and as part of a wider investment initiative, Ski Rossendale is proud to open the new and extensive Snowflex® beginner and improver slopes.
The Delancey British Alpine Ski Team put in a strong performance at the Alpine World Ski Championships in St Moritz, with Dave Ryding showing that he is one of the world’s best Slalom skiers.

The final day of the English Alpine Ski Championships 2017 concluded with a busy day of racing in Bormio with a FIS GS and Under 14/16 Super G, culminating in the crowning of six overall English Alpine Champions.

Day five of the English Alpine Ski Championships 2017 saw the action continue on the sunny slopes of Bormio with a NJR Giant Slalom and an Under 16/14 Super G.

In the FIS Giant Slalom on the Stella Alpina piste, conditions were perfect for two GS runs for the Under 21 and Under 18 racers.
The Great Britain Children’s Team has come away from the recent International Races in Andorra and Czech Republic with a bag of medals, and in Andorra, took the title of second overall team behind Italy – winning 15kg of M+Ms!
In Andorra,10 young skiers represented Great Britain over four days of racing, with parents and supporters accompanying the team.
On day four of the English Alpine Ski Championships, racers experienced another day of great racing conditions for the FIS Alpine Combined on the Stelvio piste, and for the Under 12s and Under 10s Combi race on the Stella Alpina piste.
