Round One of Championship Ski & Snowboard is live

The first videos from GB Park and Pipe’s new concept in snowsports competition, Championship Ski and Snowboard, are now live as round one of the nationwide competition concludes.

 

Championship Ski and Snowboard (CSS), which will grow and nurture young British freestyle talent, is the first snowsports competition of its kind in the world, and after launching in May, the first round is now live.  Watch the videos now to see which teams came out on top!

British Ski and Snowboard are pleased to announce the British Nordic Squad for the 2016/17 season.

 

The success of British Nordic athletes over the past few years has not gone unnoticed within Nordic skiing circles. British Nordic's top skiers are now in the top 20 in the world ranking after a successful 2015/2016 season, and even made British history when Andrew Young became the first Brit to podium in a world cup sprint event in Toblach, Italy.

Overall English Alpine Champions crowned

The final day of the English Alpine Ski Championships concluded with a busy day of racing for all age groups, culminating in the crowning of six overall English Alpine Champions. 

The 2016 English Alpine Championships supported by Rossignol, Vital, Endsleigh, Ski Bartletts, Ski Bitz. Racer Ready and Bormio Ski has been a huge success with great race conditions and on the whole good weather.

On day five of the English Alpine Ski Championships the sun returned to the slopes of Bormio for the FIS Super Combined (which also counted to towards the English Championships Super G titles), while the Under 12s and Under 10s tackled a fun Combi race on the Stella Alpina piste.

English Champions crowned in Ladies GS and Under 16 & 14 Super G

Day four of the English Alpine Ski Championships saw six athletes crowned English Champions as the action continued on the snowy slopes of Bormio with a FIS Giant Slalom and an Under 16/14 Super G.

 

In the FIS Giant Slalom on the Stella Alpina piste, conditions were tricky with fog affecting the racing for most of the day, ultimately resulting in the cancellation of the second run of the Men’s GS, thus no final results for the men.
