TAYLOR SPEARHEADS GB RESULTS

Telemark skier Jasmin Taylor scored another World Cup podium this morning to cap off a solid weekend of British performances across the globe. There was also another slalom World Cup top 10 for Dave Ryding as well as ski cross top 10s at the Europa Cup and Nor-Am Cup.

The Para Alpine World Championships kicked off today with GB’s 2014 and 2018 Paralympic gold medallists both in action for the first time tomorrow.

CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS SPEARHEAD HUGE WEEKEND FOR GB SNOWSPORT

More than 30 British skiers and snowboarders were in action over the weekend and it was GB Cross Country leading the way with some historic World Cup results in Germany, while Charlotte Bankes continued her dominance in the snowboard cross Europa Cup.

GB Cross Country delivered a fantastic series of results over the weekend in Dresden where the sprint World Cup took place on the banks of the River Elbe.

MUSGRAVE, RYDING SCORE SOLID RESULTS

Two of GB Snowsport’s most experienced campaigners continued their strong starts to 2019, with Dave Ryding and Andrew Musgrave finishing the first week of the year with good World Cup results.

Andrew Musgrave has come back from a debilitating illness at the back end of 2018 to show positive signs in the lead-up to this year’s World Championships after a strong showing at the Tour de Ski.

RYDING MAKES HISTORY IN OSLO

Dave Ryding has finished second at the new year’s day city event in Oslo, and on the way has become the most successful British alpine skier at World Cup level.

When Ryding finished second at Kitzbühel two years ago, he became the first British skier to stand on the alpine World Cup podium in 35 years.

BANKES CELEBRATES FIRST WORLD CUP FOR GB WITH A PODIUM FINISH

Almost one month to the day since changing nations, Charlotte Bankes has delivered on her promise to deliver snowboard cross success to Great Britain with a podium performance at the first World Cup of the season.

Bankes was seventh in yesterday’s qualifying and followed that up with a dominant performance in today’s quarter-final which she won convincingly.
