The Snowsport England Board of Directors 

Jamie Horner - Chair

Jamie is a sports and entertainment lawyer and CEDR Accredited Mediator. He started his legal career in the City of London with Norton Rose Fulbright and became a partner at leading regional firm Ashfords in 2009, before launching a boutique sports, events and entertainment practice, in 2012. 


Tim Fawke - Chief Executive

Joined SSE in 2004 and appointed CEO in 2009. Tim is a former England and GB Squad alpine ski racer and coach. Initially joining SSE as Coach for the England Squad in 2004. Qualified to a high level Tim continues to be actively involved in the sport and is Chief of Championships at SSE’s premier event in Bormio, Italy. Tim also sits on the Board of British Ski and Snowboard as Home Nations representative.

Bryan Thomas - Finance Director

Joined the board in 2012. Retired businessman with extensive commercial and financial experience. Bryan spent 30 years as a senior executive in international business within the oil industry.

Alison Eyre - Senior Independent Director (SID)

Joined the Board in 2014.  Alison is a Chartered Accountant who has spent her career in commercial roles within large financial services organisations, based out of both London and New York. Currently on a career break taking time to explore new opportunities, volunteer in areas she is passionate about and travel.

Elly Cockcroft - Director

Joined the board in 2015. Head of Marketing at Lords Cricket Ground for MCC. Extensive knowledge of sport evolving in a changing commercial environment. Elly achieved a Masters in Sports Marketing at University of Memphis, USA. She is keen to bring knowledge of commercial change to the development of SnowSport England.

Stuart MacLean - Director

Joined the board in 2015. Stuart MacLean has been somewhat of an online specialist for over 20 years, which has seen him work across a multitude of industries from music to finance, sport and TV. Most recently, he has used this diverse experience to help build women’s cycling with Matri Pro Cycling, which has been at the forefront of women’s cycling development in the UK since 2010.


Ian Davis - Director

Ian has many years experience of working as a town planner in organisations throughout the country. He was the Head of Paid Service (CEO) for Rugby Council for 10 years until 2016. He now works as a freelance consultant advising the development industry.

Chloe Targett-Adams - Director

Joining the board in 2016, Chloe is a lawyer with significant expertise in the sport, entertainment and media sectors. Chloe is senior counsel at the Formula One group, the global motorsports and entertainment business, which she joined in 2009 following her early career spent at leading London law firms.

MIke Danbury - Members Director

Joined the Board in 2017.  Mike is now "semi-retired" and spent most of his working life within the IT industry mainly in Financial Services initially as an Engineer and in the later years in Sales, Marketing and Operations Director roles.  An active skier, racer and instructor Mike also finds time to run the Ski Centre at Welwyn, Chairs the Welwyn Club and is Treasurer for ERSA.  

 Chris Stroud - Members Director

Joined the board in 2017, Chris has recently retired from a career teaching Physical Education. He is a Snowsport England Alpine Level 4 Coach and Tutor, is an active skier who coaches regularly in the Midlands, and delivers SSE courses around the UK and in the Alps.
