Affiliating a club or academy
Affiliated organisations are at the heart of the snowsports community. They are members of Snowsport England and can be either clubs or academies.
Clubs are mainly based in England, volunteer-led and cover a range of disciplines including alpine, freestyle and nordic, whereas academies are often based abroad and include boarding facilities on-snow.
Academies are often limited companies and are generally aimed at the more competitive end of snowsports.
The aim of affiliation is to protect the safety of our sports and provide the best possible experience for all participants across England through a well-governed club and academy network.
As the national governing body, we want to support organisations in establishing and maintaining good practices to align with expectations from Sport England and NSPCC Sport framework.
