The University Ambassador programme aims to grow awareness of Snowsport England within university snowsports communities, increase membership numbers and opportunities for members. This voluntary role gives students valuable skills, access to exclusive benefits and the chance to shape the future of snowsports.

UNIVERSITY AMBASSADORS

WHAT IS A UNIVERSITY AMBASSADOR?

University Ambassadors are volunteer university students who are:

  • A connector: The link between Snowsport England and their university snowsports club, committee, athletes, wider student community and talent pathway point of contact.

  • A promoter: They champion the benefits of Snowsport England membership and spread awareness of Snowsport England courses, pathways, competitions and support.

  • A leader: They take initiative to grow engagement, plan activities, represent Snowsport England and help clubs and students to access training, discounts and events, shaping the university snowsports scene.

  • A role model: They inspire more students to take part in snowsports, from grassroots to elite pathways.

  • A representative: They attend competitions (such as BUCS, Kings, dome series), open days and freshers fairs to represent Snowsport England.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow snowsports club engagement with Snowsport England

  • Represent Snowsport England at events

  • Support pathways and talent

  • Gather feedback from students for Snowsport England

  • Promote Snowsport England offers and discounts

  • Share Snowsport England content

  • Be the link between Snowsport England, students and university snowsports committees

  • Engage with university snowsports committees

  • Attend annual in-person training

  • Promote Snowsport England membership

  • Continued communication through WhatsApp and quarterly check-ins
