Every year, hundreds of skiers compete in dry slope slalom races across England.

At Snowsport England, we recognise the top-performing dry slope skiers in the country through our Dry Slope Ambassador programme. These young athletes have been selected because they are our top-ranked dry slope racers from U14 to U21 and senior categories.

DRY SLOPE AMBASSADORS

WHAT IS THE DRY SLOPE AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME?

Being a dry slope ambassador is about more than racing. It's an opportunity to become a role model for young skiers, raise the profile of dry slope racing and help grow the snowsports community across England.

The role of a dry slope ambassador is to:

Be an important role model for younger racers
Inspire others to get involved with dry slope racing
Help organisers to run dry slope races
Continue to race competitively at dry slope races nationwide
Embody Snowsport England’s values

It is an invitation-only programme. To be selected, racers must be:

A valid Snowsport England member
Currently competing in the Under 16, Under 18 or Under 21 alpine race categories, or the lowest seeded racer, male and female for U14 and Senior
Ranked in the top three Snowsport England registered racers in each specified age category in the final OBarts list of the previous season. The points must have come from dry slope races.

Sally is our Dry Slope Ambassador Team Manager.
Based in Cheltenham, Sally is a business owner and proud mum of two adrenaline junkies. She has been on the dry slope circuit for the last few years, supporting her son Monty Bedwell.
You’ll often find her volunteering as the start marshal, preparing the children for racing and cheering them on.
