Already hold a snowsports qualification from another organisation? You may be eligible to have your existing qualifications, experience and previous learning recognised by UK Snowsports.
UK Snowsports recognises relevant international snowsports qualifications through a Qualification Recognition process. This allows coaches, leaders and instructors to have their existing training and experience assessed against UK Snowsports qualification requirements.

Who Can Apply?
Recognition is available to applicants who hold an ISIA stamp or card, or an IVSI card. Qualifications that are not recognised by ISIA or IVSI are unlikely to be eligible.
HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
We will review your existing qualifications, experience and training to identify which parts of the Snowsport England qualification requirements you have already met.
Depending on your previous training and experience, you may be exempt from certain units or modules. However, in most cases, you will still need to complete some additional assessment or provide a portfolio of evidence before a UK Snowsports qualification can be awarded.
This ensures that all recognised coaches, leaders and instructors understand the UK sporting environment, safeguarding requirements and Snowsport England's coaching approach, and can work safely and effectively at the appropriate level.
Please note: A fee applies to cover the assessment and verification of your supporting documentation.
How DO I APPLY?
Complete the Qualification Recognition Application Form.
We will review your application, including the qualifications and experience you have provided.
We may contact you if we need any further information or supporting evidence.
We will notify you of the outcome and explain any additional steps you may need to complete.
If your application is successful and you complete any required additional steps, you will be awarded the appropriate UK Snowsports qualification.
Once you meet the relevant licensing requirements, you will also be able to access the associated membership benefits.
Lapsed Qualifications
Has your qualification expired or is it no longer current? You can still apply for recognition.
Please make sure you tell us about this in your application.
Depending on how long your qualification has been lapsed and your previous experience, you may need to complete refresher training, an assessment or other additional requirements before recognition can be granted.
