WHAT ARE THE ENGLISH ALPINE CHAMPIONSHIPS?
The English Alpine Championships is Snowsport England’s premier alpine event and is the biggest English week of winter ski racing.
Hundreds of British families flock to Bormio in Italy each winter to take part in our flagship alpine event, the English Alpine Championships. Racers as young as eight years-old will compete in slalom, giant slalom, super G and combi competitions, in addition to specific FIS races, featuring athletes from all over the world.
It’s a gateway for future alpine world champions and Olympic stars – Dave Ryding started his competitive career on snow here.
WHEN & WHERE?
The English Alpine Championships are held in Bormio, Italy every year. This Italian ski resort famously hosted the Milano Cortina 2026 men’s downhill ski events.
We’re delighted to confirm the dates for next year’s Championships. They are:
FIS – Wednesday 10 to Monday 15 February 2027
Children’s – Sunday 14 to Friday 19 February 2027
