We are here to help you get more involved with snowsports in England - from a joining club and improving your on-snow skills to taking part in your first competition, and much more.

You’ll have access to our fantastic ski and snowboard courses. These range from workshops for recreational skiers wanting to improve their skills to UK-based instructor programmes and internationally-recognised IVSI coaching courses.
If you successfully complete a Snowsport England coaching or instructing course, you’ll be on your way to securing a Snowsport England licence, provided you complete the pre-requisites. Blue members receive one free digital issue of the legendary UK ski publication per year, Red members receive a year’s free digital subscription, whilst Black members receive both a digital and print subscription for one year.

Snowsport England members are eligible to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate through our quick, easy-to-use online system. This is included in the annual membership fee for volunteers.

Once you become a Snowsport England member, you are eligible to apply for a FIS licence from GB Snowsport.

N.B: Our membership season runs from 1 November to 31 October each year with early renewals open from 1 September
₁ If you are skiing or snowboarding beyond purely recreational (i.e. skiing gates, hitting freestyle features like jumps and rails), then you will need Blue membership.
² This also the minimum level for adaptive ski and snowboard guides whilst they are working one-to-one with para skiers/snowboarders.
₃ DBS checks are free for volunteers only
₄ Lower-level events include: local club competitions, school races, university races and regional races. This also includes activities such as: race training with gates/stubbies, supervised freestyle sessions, hitting jumps, rails and boxes in the park.

₇ This covers one snowsports trips (up to 14 days in length) in Europe per year, with the option to add extra trips and extend up to four months. Our rewards platform is accessed through Sport:80. It is only accessible to anyone with a valid membership. Follow these instructions to access it.

Sport:80 is a customer relationship management (CRM) system that we use as our membership platform. We use it to manage our memberships and affiliated organisations. It is also the platform we use to process course, event and competition bookings. You can access Sport:80 from the login button at the top of our homepage.

If you, or a user, have reset your password but you are still receiving the ‘Invalid Credentials’ message, there are several things you can do to troubleshoot this:
Check your email is correct and remove spaces at the start and end
Use the eye icon to reveal and check password
Clear your cache
Check browser settings (some extensions/ add ons may be interfering)

It is important to have the correct club or academy linked to your account. This allows the club or academy to view your membership status, any licences you hold or any additional qualifications or safeguarding requirements. If you are an athlete, you need to select the club or academy you are competing for to align with your seed points for BARTS and BASS.
