By completing CPD workshops, you can keep your knowledge and skills up-to-date, stay informed about current best practice and continue delivering high-quality lessons.

ONE-YEAR CPD
Online CPD Workshop
Join one of these short workshops, covering coaching, safety and development topics.
Validity: For one year
THREE-YEAR CPD
Development Course
Specialist courses, such as Course Setter and Adaptive Awareness, count as CPD. View the current specialist courses on offer below.
Validity: For three years
Development & Refresher Days
Improve your technical and practical coaching skills through one of our Refresher Days. Find out when they are scheduled below.

Licence Upgrade
Progressing to a higher qualification level can count as CPD. Take a look at the pathway options below to see how you can take your teaching to the next stage.

Skilful Skiing
Join a Snowsport England coach for a one-day training course, focused on improving your personal skiing performance.
Validity: For three years
EXTERNAL CPD
Some external CPD may be recognised where it is relevant and equivalent in standard.
This includes Technical Delegate (TD) Forums and selected courses from recognised providers (e.g. BASI, IASI, etc).
External CPD is approved on a case-by-case basis.
If accepted:
It may count towards your 3-year CPD requirement
The next CPD must be completed through Snowsport England provision

Yes. CPD is a mandatory requirement to maintain your Snowsport England coaching or instructing licence.

You can meet your requirement through either:
Annual CPD (completed each year), or
A 3-year CPD option covering the full licence period

Approved CPD includes Snowsport England workshops, development courses, refresher days, skilful skiing, licence upgrades, and approved external CPD where confirmed.

No. You do not need to upload evidence. Snowsport England will record approved CPD on your Sport:80 profile.

Once you complete an approved CPD activity, Snowsport England will update your Sport:80 record.

Some external CPD (e.g. TD Forums, BASI, IASI) may be accepted if approved by Snowsport England.

Your licence is not valid until CPD requirements are met.

Yes, if your licence has been lapsed for less than 3 years, you may be able to reinstate it through CPD linked to your most recent qualification.
If it has been more than 3 years, you may need to complete the full qualification again.
