Board Opportunity: Independent Non-Executive Director
We are seeking an Independent Non-Executive Director to join the Snowsport England Board.
This is an excellent opportunity join a high calibre, engaged and passionate Board. The successful candidate will support the Board through contributing the knowledge they have gained from senior-level backgrounds in any of the following areas:
Sports strategy and management
Sports funding (direct and indirect)
Sport England, UK Sport and DCMS
Facility Development
Diversity and Inclusion in Sport
The areas outlined above link closely to our strategic priorities and have been selected to enhance work and projects to meet our strategic goals set out within the ten year strategy, Inspiring Snowsport.
An ideal successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the communities who are currently not as engaged in snowsports, as well as a commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion at all levels. Prior experience in snowsports or membership sports is not needed, but an interest in and commitment to supporting the future and goals of Snowsport England is essential.
Role Details:
Interview date – to be confirmed
Term start date – September (date TBC) at the Snowsport England AGM. We are recruiting ahead of this term to allow a full handover from the outgoing Non-Executive Independent Director
Volunteer – This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses will be covered.
