Introducing the Futures Project at The BRITS 2026

Are you aged 12 or under and want an introduction to freestyle competitions? Or perhaps you have competed before but don’t yet have a coach/team and are looking for support at events?

Join the Futures Project at The BRITS, an exciting new coaching workshop from Snowsport England and Snowsport Scotland, designed specifically for U12 athletes who are new to competing.

The BRITS – also known as the British Snowboard and Freeski Championships – is one of the most prestigious events in the freestyle calendar. This year, it will take place at the world-class Penken Park in Mayrhofen, Austria from 29 March to 3 April 2026.

 

What’s Included

Sunday 29 March – Coaching Day

A dedicated training day focused on:

  • Understanding freestyle competition formats

  • Building confidence on features

  • Practising rail, big air and banked slalom skills

  • Learning how to approach competition runs

Monday 30 March – Competition Coaching

Hands-on coach support throughout the:

  • Streetstyle (rails) competition

  • Big Air competition

  • Banked Slalom competition

 

Your coaches

  • Bobby Taylor – Snowsport England Park and Pipe Head Coach

  • Euan Baxter – Snowsport Scotland Park and Pipe Pathway Manager and Head Coach

Both coaches bring extensive experience in developing young freestyle athletes and creating positive first competition experiences.

 

Who is it for?

  • U12 skiers and snowboarders (born in 2014 or before 2015, 2016, 2017, etc.)

  • Ideal for those that are new to freestyle competitions

This is a fantastic opportunity to experience The BRITS in a low-pressure, supportive environment — perfect for building confidence, learning how competitions work, and having fun with other young riders from across the UK.

£80 for both days
