Snowsport England announces launch of facility-led Futures sessions
Snowsport England are excited to share that our first facility-led Futures venue is now confirmed and ready to launch on 16 June, marking the beginning of a new chapter for grassroots freestyle snowsport across England.
With the momentum of the Winter Olympics still shining a spotlight on snowsport, there has never been a better time for facilities to get involved. Futures is evolving into a facilities-led programme designed to grow participation, create stronger progression pathways and bring new energy into park and pipe delivery nationwide.
This is about more than just sessions, it is about building the future of freestyle snowsport from the grassroots up. Futures creates welcoming, progressive environments that encourage young people to keep riding, develop their skills and stay connected to your facility long term. At the same time, it strengthens links into the wider talent pathway while supporting the growth and development of coaches through shared learning, CPD opportunities and professionalised delivery standards.
Facilities involved from the beginning will play a key role in shaping what comes next as the programme expands into additional disciplines and opportunities. Alongside increased visibility through the Snowsport England network, Futures provides a nationally recognised framework that can help drive participation, repeat visits, membership growth and long-term engagement at your centre.
We are kicking things off with our first facility with Futures launching at SnowDome Tamworth on 16 June. Andrew David, Head of Snowsports at Tamworth said: “With 12 newly qualified snowsports coaches at Tamworth SnowDome, we are all super excited now at what the Futures Project may hold and how it will link into our Tamlands coaching performance pathway. It’s sure to offer all of our clients a much clearer programme to follow at any stage of their learning journey “
We’re now looking for the next facilities to come on board and help us grow a strong national network of Futures Project centres across England.
Facilities will receive:
• A full Futures Project delivery blueprint
• Marketing assets and promotional support
• Coach development and CPD opportunities
• Session plans and resources
• Promotion through the national Futures Session Finder
• Ongoing support from Snowsport England
It’s simple to get involved, and if you need support around coaching or features, we’re here to help make it happen.
Who will be next?

We’d love to have your facility involved in shaping the future of grassroots freestyle snowsports in England.
