The Moguls Coach (Level 2) qualification is designed for coaches looking to develop their fundamental coaching skills and work more independently with athletes specialising in moguls skiing. It focuses on building the tools needed to plan, deliver, and manage structured long-term athlete development in freestyle environments.

This qualification acts as a bolt-on to your existing coach licence and builds on the Level 1 Moguls Coaching award. It is currently the highest educated and certified freestyle moguls coaching qualification within the UK pathway.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is designed for:

·         Level 1 moguls coaches looking to progress their coaching

·         Coaches working with developing freestyle athletes

·         Individuals involved in club or performance-based moguls environments

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

During the course, you will develop advanced coaching knowledge and practical application, including:

·         Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and annual planning

·         The British Mogul Skiing Athlete Pathway

·         Coaching process and coaching methodologies

·         Different coaching styles and how to apply them effectively

·         Group management in performance environments

·         Effective feedback and communication techniques

·         Drill creation and progression design

·         Elite performance models used in freestyle skiing

·         Rules, regulations, and judging criteria for moguls

·         Training and competition site preparation

·         Warm-up and stretching protocols

You will also develop your own adaptable coaching toolbox, drawing on international best practice used by national freestyle ski teams.
