Snowsport England would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who supported our campaign calling for the return of Ski Sunday.

When the campaign was launched, the aim was simple: to demonstrate the value that skiers, snowboarders and winter sports fans place on seeing snowsports represented on mainstream television. The response exceeded all expectations with more than 26,000 people signing the petition in support of the programme's return.

This overwhelming response sends a clear message: people across England, Scotland and Wales care deeply about snowsports and want to see our sports continue to thrive and remain visible to future generations.

Progress Since the Petition

Following the success of the petition, several important steps have already been taken:

  • An open letter has been sent to the BBC to demonstrate the strength of public support for Ski Sunday. You can read the letter here.

  • The campaign has helped highlight the importance of snowsports coverage to thousands of skiers, snowboarders and winter sports enthusiasts.

  • Awareness of the campaign continues to grow across the wider snowsports community and industry.

  • Several production companies have contacted us to explore opportunities to help keep snowsports visible and accessible to audiences across the UK.

While there is still work to do, the level of engagement generated by the campaign has already demonstrated the passion that exists within the snowsports community and the importance of maintaining the visibility of our sports.

Those who opted in to receive communications when signing the petition will continue to receive updates should there be significant developments in the weeks and months ahead.

Once again, thank you to everyone who signed the petition and helped demonstrate that snowsports matter. Together, we can continue to champion the future of skiing and snowboarding across the UK.
