The Snowboard Instructor (Level 2) qualification develops your technical riding and teaching skills, enabling you to work with snowboarders across a wider range of abilities. It prepares you to deliver structured, progressive lessons and support riders as they advance their skills.
With this award, you’ll be able to teach snowboarders from complete beginners through to more advanced riders, including introducing linked turns and flatland freestyle elements, at artificial slopes and indoor snow centres in the UK.

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is designed for:
· Level 1 snowboard instructors looking to progress their teaching and riding
· Individuals wanting to work with a broader range of participants, including more advanced riders
· Instructors aiming to develop a career in snowsports coaching
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
During the course, you’ll expand your technical and teaching knowledge, including:
· Developing your personal snowboarding performance
· Teaching snowboarders from beginner to advanced level
· Introducing linked turns and progression skills
· Planning and delivering safe, engaging lessons
· Observing performance and giving effective feedback
· Understanding how riders learn and progress
You’ll also build confidence in structuring sessions and adapting your delivery to different ability levels.
Working towards YOUR LICENCE
To complete your Level 2 qualification, you need to:
· Complete the full course
· Complete a minimum of 20 hours workplace training
· Successfully complete the logbook and assessment
· Hold current Snowsport England membership
Additional requirements for licensing include: valid First Aid, safeguarding training and DBS check.
