We're delighted to announce that five-time Olympic alpine skier Dave Ryding has joined Snowsport England as Lead Alpine Consultant and is the first National Squad Coach to be announced in our Alpine Pathway.
From his early race days on the dry slope at Pendle to securing Britain’s first Alpine World Cup win, he is a fantastic role model to have for our athletes.
Dave has played an active role in shaping both the Alpine Pathway and in the selection of the other National Squad Coaches. He will not however be the overall Head Coach who, together with the other two coaches, will be announced shortly.
As part of his role, Dave will also be joining selected Combined County Squad coaching days throughout the year, giving developing athletes and coaches the opportunity to learn from one of Britain's greatest alpine skiers and gain valuable insight from someone who has competed at the very highest level of the sport.
