The Ski Instructor (Level 2) award is designed to progress both your skiing performance and your ability to deliver structured, effective lessons. It enables you to teach skiers beyond parallel turning and work with a wider range of abilities at artificial slopes and indoor snow centres in the UK.

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is ideal for:
Level 1 instructors ready to progress their teaching
Instructors looking to work with more advanced skiers
Those wanting to develop confidence delivering full lessons
You should already have some experience assisting or delivering beginner sessions and be ready to build your own teaching style.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
This course develops both your skiing and teaching to a higher level.
You’ll focus on:
Developing your personal skiing performance
Teaching skiers from beginner through to advanced levels
Planning and delivering structured, progressive lessons
Observing performance and giving effective feedback
Understanding how tasks support learning
There is a strong emphasis on linking technical understanding with practical teaching.
Working towards YOUR LICENCE
After completing the training course, you will continue developing through workplace experience.
To achieve the full qualification, you will need to:
Complete a workplace training workbook
Log a minimum of 20 hours of supervised teaching
Work with a qualified mentor
Follow an individual development plan
Your completed workbook will form part of your final assessment.
Additional requirements for licensing include: valid First Aid, safeguarding training and DBS check.
